To fit head sizes Small 19 – 20 (Medium 21 – 22, Large 23 – 24)”/48 – 51 (53.5 – 56, 58.5 – 61) cm.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Brim circumference 15 (17, 19)”/38 (43, 48) cm, blocked and unstretched.
Length from base of brim to top centre of crown 9½”/23.5 cm.
GAUGE
19 sts x 24 rnds = 4”/10 cm in stitch pattern knitted in the round with larger needles, after wet blocking.
One rep of chart 1 = 2¼” x 2½”
YARN
Approx. 115 (142, 159) yds/105 (130, 170) m of Nyx by Outlaw Yarn (DK; 70% Polwarth, 30% silk; 100 g = 219 yds/200 m).
A pom-pom will require additional yarn.
Samples shown are both size “Medium” in “Parchment” and “Fog”.
You’ll need approx. 115 (142, 159) yds/105 (130, 170) m of DK-weight yarn, plus extra for a pom-pom.
NEEDLES & NOTIONS
Size US 6/4 mm & US 7/4.5 mm 16”/40 cm.
Long circular needles and size US 7/4.5 mm.
Double-pointed needles. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.
1 stitch marker (you may find it helpful to use extra markers to separate the lace repeats)
