Another Sunday Sweater is off the needles. I’m going all matchy-matchy for the two little girls – Nelly is in her new red one. I think they quite like being the same :)

The latest is for Tess and it’s knitted in soft, inky-coloured merino from my stash. The yarn is ancient. I bought it in New Zealand many years ago to make something for Gabe when he was this size. It’s Cynthia Helene super wash Merino in a 12ply, or heavy worsted, in the teal colourway, by Shepherd. Isn’t it funny how yarn can seem so uninspiring when it sits around for ages, but then knits up into something very sweet? I’m really enjoying all the stash-diving I’m doing.

The wooden buttons are new. I didn’t have anything in my button box that would work, well not three of anything anyway. These have a dark stain and match the blue perfectly.

You can find my ravelry project page for this cardigan here.
